Fog

Northern Shoveler

A male and female Northern Shoveler taking off as I stopped to take their photo. This is the first time that I’ve been able to capture an image of this species.

LSU Ag Center

This beautiful property in Calhoun, LA, was used by LSU for decades as an experimental agricultural research center. A few years ago LSU decided to close the station. According to the terms of the lease, the property reverted to the ownership of the Ouachita Parish Police Jury. Part of the plans (that I understand at this point) are for the buildings and trees to be removed and the hill cut down so that the land is flat!

This property screams out to be a park! I, for one, would pay admission to help support it!
